Sewing zippers can appear harder than it actually is, and with my Zippers for Beginners sewing class, you'll master the basics of sewing two types of zips in just one day!

Learn to sew both a centered zipper and an exposed zipper, and come away with a new cushion cover and a lined purse.

The zipper sewing techniques you'll learn in this class will easily transfer to dressmaking and other types of sewing, so you'll feel confident to take on more complex projects.

This sewing class is suitable for beginners with basic sewing skills, such as demonstrated in my Beginners Sewing Class.
What You'll Learn in Zippers for Beginners

how to sew a centered zipper, by sewing a cushion cover

how to sew an exposed zipper, by sewing a lined pouch
You will also get a demo on how to replace a zipper on a pair of trousers or a jacket and I will be answering common questions about zippers, including what to do when your zipper isn’t the right size for your project.
In the morning, we’ll begin with the zipped purse where you’ll have the opportunity to practice sewing a zip before inserting your actual zip into the purse.
In the afternoon, we’ll begin with the demo on how to replace a zipper and then we’ll cut and sew our cushion covers, inserting the zip.​
Spaces are limited to 7 participants per class to provide the ultimate learning experience​
